I use paper or cardboard as a material since 2000, when I started my work on the “plisses”. The universe of the fold is unlimited. It refers to Antiquity but also to our present time and particularly to the world of architecture, design or fashion. It appears as well on human figure and all around us in nature.

Paper and cardboard are very interesting because of their warm texture and their fragility that relates to human fragility.

Nowadays, everything seems to go too fast, technology and virtual image are playing an increasing role. It happened to me that the chair represents more than a common object of everyday:  it is also a place to make a stop, take a time for meditation or a real talk with the other. 

The dresses like a protection, like a skin are part of my current work in progress.

Human being and nature are always the center of my interests.
